Some of these works by German firm J Mayer H. Architects are so bizarre that I keep thinking that they’re only renders, but they’re not! In fact all of these are built projects in Georgia.
Here are some of my favourites:

Love these soft pastely renders for this project. the building looks ordinary enough but this is really refreshing take on presenting work.
Very japanese too.

Nice little eating place that my family has been to before, always thought the interior design was quirky. Funny when you see someplace you know get featured on a design website.

I wasn’t impressed by the rather ordinary design of this house. Rather what struck me were the breathtakingly beautiful water colour renders of the plans and perspectives. In a time where most firms rely on 3d graphics with photo-shopped but fake reality these are a welcome breath of fresh air.

Epic castles are always great backdrops for modern architectural insertions.

I wish singapore had castles!
More castle work by the architect here.

Little apartments are a great challenge to design due to size constraints. but they make for fun and creative solutions. I really love that seamless floor to the kitchen and living room. wonder what the finish is?

I’m both intrigued and creeped out by these super minimalist houses. It’s something that makes me go ‘Wow, those guys really worked hard to achieve that’, but on the other hand I also think ‘you’ll never get me to live in a place like that’. It’s this tension that makes me uncomfortable with them.
The roof is nice… but can you walk on it?
